#448 Add black / white variants of the Fedora logo for Kickoff
Opened a year ago by radbirb. Modified 11 months ago

Hey all!

This is a really minor / low priority change but I thought it was worth passing this through as a ticket just for the sake of aesthetic :P.

Would it be possible to ship non-coloured variants (White / Black) of the Fedora logo available for use with Kickoff? The default blue Fedora logo works great with the default Fedora wallpapers (and any blue / blue accented wallpaper in general), but it clashes with Plasma 6's default wallpaper, Sun / Comet, and looks sort of out of place (especially with the dark breeze panel), which is why I went to write this ticket in the first place.

Perhaps it'd be possible to ship these variants under Kickoff/Application Launcher's settings as extra icons in the Icon selection menu? (Maybe this is something to do with icons Fedora itself ships? Debian ships black and white variants of the swirl by default that appear under Emblems)

Or maybe even a dark/light variant of the Fedora Breeze theme? I'm not sure of the best way to do this but I'm leaning more to just shipping them as additional icons to be selected unless there's a way on Plasma to dynamically change icons depending on the theme being either dark or light (aside from modifying breeze light / dark themselves).

I've quickly whipped up two light / dark fedora icons for use in a demonstration:
