gocryptfs and CryFS are both modern and available with KVaults as GUI frontend.
CryFS is already installed, and so is fuse-encfs.
But gocryptfs, which has major performance advantages, is not.
Problem: it is not an official fedora package yet, there just is a COPR with a 4mo old package (might be up to date). So this is probably dependent on whether gocryptfs gets a maintainer?
I will try it out and report its usability.
As you've figured out, we need gocryptfs to be packaged in Fedora before we can consider adding it to Kinoite.

Ok so I tried the COPR and it works great!
We don't ship packages from coprs.
