#228 Fedora 35 Plasma Style Breaks Krunner's Dialog Window
Closed: Deferred to upstream a year ago by ngompa. Opened 2 years ago by gtwilliams.

If I select "Fedora Thirty-Five" as my Plasma Style, the krunner dialog fails to open any more, no matter how I invoke krunner (Alt-F2, Alt-SPACE, Run krunner). A square, blank window will display in the position that the normal krunner dialog used to pop up. That blang window will not react to typing.

Selecting Breeze as the Plasma Style restores krunner's dialog.

KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3

Upstream bug is fixed in Plasma 5.26.

There's still something Fedora can do here by removing the RunCommand.qml styling from the "Fedora Thirty Six" Plasma style.

Plasma 5.26 will be shipped into Fedora Linux 36 as an update, Fedora 35 will be EOL a month after Fedora Linux 37 releases in October.

Cool, then we can close this as "nothing to do on Fedora's side?"

Forgot to mention upstream bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=457174

It seems like this bug is not yet fully resolved?

Still, if anybody wants to try on the 5.26 Beta you can get it from our COPR

The person in that bug report is confused and is using Plasma 5.24, while the fix is in 5.26. As far as we're aware, this is fully fixed.

Yep, it is now as of Fedora 36 and 37. This can be closed.
