#153 kcolorchooser doesn't work in Wayland, but it's still pre-installed despite the Wayland being the default session
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by siosm. Opened 2 years ago by limao-doce.

According to this bug:

KColorChooser just uses QColorDialog which provides this button that cannot and will not work on Wayland. Either Qt adopts KWin's proprietary color picking protocol (unlikely) that e.g. Plasma's color picker applet uses, or we provide our own color dialog through plasma-integration.

Maybe kcolorchooser should be an optional package?

I agree if kcolorchooser doesn't function well out of the box, then it shouldn't be installed by default anymore.

KRuler also doesn't work properly (it can't be moved in Wayland unless if the user uses the Alt/Meta kwin shortcut for moving windows). I don't know if I should file a report for this one though.
