No, I did not find anything to work on really. I have worked on other things, and haven't noticed anything interesting enough to go 'I want to do this' with Fedora.

Yes, but

realized, that I have never encountered the amount of mail you get from an actual mailing list, and that I know less of Thunderbird than I thought; resulting in about 1-4 mail threads read/ignored/seen per week.

I think it comes down to lack of detailed (haven't explored) interest (and time, what I will probably never have spare of again) at the moment.

I have never felt the amount of information I should/am interested in absorbing; stuff I could do, put together, fix. Overwhelmed in short.

hugs thanks for doing this, checking in on people, but I don't even have any help to give back (on what I'm interested in (I don't know, many things, probably things I have never heard of), I don't yet have a native coding lang, on what I could do stuff in, just pieces from stuff like batch, powershell; to go; to js; to rust; to python; to bash..).

I wouldn't worry too much @jtagcat . The whole idea here is for you to take your time.

The mailing lists do get overwhelming: over the ~10 years that I've been around, I've managed to subscribe to almost ~40 of them! Now I've learned how to skim really quickly and skip topics that aren't relevant :)

So, take your time. It's best to just hang out on the channels and mailing lists, and wait till you see something to work on or just pitch in.

There's no right way of going about it, it's just practice I'm afraid :)

The only tip I can give is to use filters well, and to use a good e-mail client that allows threading.

(Come on, you are not a lost cause. Just give it some time to hang out with folks at Matrix/IRC related to the projects you are interested in and you'd discover - albeit slowly - there are ways in which you can meaningfully contribute to Fedora)
