Hello! I'm currently interested in translating (English -> Russian \ English -> Ukrainian) and contributing to it on Weblate. I have subscribed to the mailing list and I had an account on Weblate.
First translate (in Weblate):

I need CLA+1 to edit wiki to create a page about myself, can I get a temporary membership?

Now that you folks are aware of the translation team's processes, do they have a FAS group for team members? (I've not done translating work in a looooong time so I'm not up to date with their processes any more)
@ankursinha I looked at the wiki in the Russian language, 60% - in Russian, 40% - English. Not good.
I wouldn't worry about translating the wiki. The wiki is now meant to be a scratch pad---the information there is for use by the various teams in the community only. Translating the docs/quick-docs is perhaps more important so that it improves them for our users. What do you think @lfc?

I've added you to both fedora-join groups, on Pagure and FAS. Please feel free to take up other Fedora Join tasks too. It'll be great to have folks that work in translation in the Join SIG to help other newcomers who may be interested in helping with translation too.

@ankursinha I agree. I started to communicate with L10N Ukrainian Team, and the second day I add new English->Ukrainian translation to Weblate. Thanks!
@ankursinha being part of a l10n team is no more a prerequisite in order to translate stuff in Weblate. In Zanata it was required to being part of the l10n FAS group in order to have the rights to translate strings. Now everyone with a FAS account can start to translate. This was an intended move, in order to lower barriers for new translators.
Now everything is clear :)

IMHO this doesn't mean that the translation teams for each language should not exist. It is better to coordinate between people and ask question if doubts arise. :-)
