Hello @jagruti ! Welcome to Fedora!
Before we begin, please subscribe to the Fedora join mailing list at fedora-join@lists.fedoraproject.org. We use this list for general discussion, and it is also where the community shares tasks that need help.
These links are a good read to begin with. They tell you what the Free/Open Source community is about, and then they'll introduce you to Fedora: what Fedora is all about, and what we do, and of course, how we do it:
Next, when you're ready, could you please introduce yourself (preferably on the list) so that the community can get to know you? (Interests, skills, anything you wish to say about yourself really).
Finally, could you let us know how you learned about the Fedora project? Was it from a colleague, or social media, for example?
If you have any questions at all, please ask! We'll use this ticket to keep in touch! :)
In addition, could you provide some information to understand your requirements better? (You can write them in the introduction, or answer here if you feel more comfortable).
For example:
your experience with Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) communities/ecosystems:
your background/skills, for example:
your experience in communication platforms:
how much time are you looking to/are you able to spend on volunteering (approximate hours per week)?
Remember that this is not a job interview at all. This is just an icebreaker to help all your new friends get to know you quicker. The better we know you, the better we can support you in identifying Fedora activities that promise to be relevant for you.
Please write how much/whatever you wish. :).

Hi everyone,
My open-source journey started in Feb 2022. It has been more than three months and I am an active contributor to Open Food Facts. I had also applied to GSoC'22 but wasn't accepted into the program. That's when one of the fellow GSoC participants suggested I start with Fedora.
I work full-time as a Java software engineer. And contribute to Open Food Facts in Python. I am really comfortable with vanilla JavaScript. Apart from this, I write. Though I have been an irregular writer I want to start again. Just last month one of my articles got published at freeCodeCamp. I look forward to writing more.
I mostly work with Windows and Ubuntu. I am well versed with Github and Git command. I work with Spring Boot framework.
Fedora is a huge project. I have never worked on a project as big as this one. I choose documentation to start with. If you have any recommendations for me I'll be grateful for your advice though I understand you may not be able to because I am new.
I have used mailing lists, Slack, and Microsoft Teams for communication. I can contribute 12 - 15 hours each week.
I look forward to contributing regularly to Fedora.

Hey @hhlp
I contributed to one issue for beginners.
Fedora is a huge project and I got lost somewhere.
If you could guide me to some repo who have the bandwidth to guide an absolute beginner in Fedora, that would be of great help :)
Hi @jagruti --- there really is lots to do, but we don't tend to point each other to tasks because we're all volunteers and we want people to find areas that they are interested in. Based on your note above, I can suggest you look at these perhaps:
what do you think?
