I am really sorry for the late reply; I had a lot of work to do because I was in an internship and after that examinations had started. I am available now to start contributing.

I am Ahmed Abuamra a computer science student at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. I have good problem solving skills by participating in ACM CPCs, high coding skills and got an internship at Microsoft in the last summer.

Based on my experience, I've written C++, Typescript, Java, C# and Python. I want to start contributing as soon as possible. Could you please tell me where to start or assign a task for me? Thanks!

It's great to meet you Ahmed! You seem to have great technical skills! Based on these, a few roles fit you:

• your general programming knowledge fits really well with maintaining packages in Fedora: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers
• they also make you a great fit for doing some QA (testing packages and releases): https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA
• additionally, the infrastructure in Fedora is generally python based, but this is web based python. At the moment, though, there's a transition in place---a lot of the apps are being retired and others improved, or rewritten. You can get some idea of the apps here: https://apps.fedoraproject.org

Why don't you take your time to look at these, and then we can see what to do next?
