#57 Create a feedback form for the Ansible classroom session
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by ankursinha.

A google form will have to do for the time being, since we don't have a survey software set up yet.

This must be done in the next few days so we have time to tweak it before the session. Please comment on this ticket with what data you think we should be collecting. The form MUST be anonymous, we will not collect any private information.

General information:

  • What time zone are you based in?
  • Have you attended a classroom session before?
  • What is youre area of interest (programming, infrastructure, design, marketing, add all areas we work in)

Session specific information:

  • How well do you know $session-subject (Ansible in this case) (sliding scale + text box)
  • Was the session duration appropriate? Was it too long/too short? (sliding scale + text box)
  • Was the session too easy/too difficult? (sliding scale + text box)
  • How was the quality of the material (sliding scale + text box)
  • Did the session include enough examples (sliding scale + text box)

Fedora related information:

  • Are you a fedora contributor (yes/no)
  • If not, would you like to join the community?
  • Have you attempted to join? Have you experienced any issues?
  • Where do you get your information on Fedora from? Social media/fedoramag/commblog/planet/other

More questions here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Diversity/Survey

We should limit the survey to 10--12 questions to keep it short.

These are some good questions I think. Specifically, we should definitely ask the “General Information” questions, and the questions about how the user knew to find the meeting, i.e. social media, magazine, comm blog, etc...

I liked the questions overall, it will give us a nice feedback about the class room sessions and may be some suggestions to improve on. Every question is directed towards gathering such feedback.
Only one question, I am not sure what is the purpose "What time zone are you based in" - to schedule the session at appropriate time?

Yes, you got it right. Rather than asking which country you belong to or what time is "day" time for you, this seems more politically correct :P

I've set up a form here: https://goo.gl/forms/aaPj9h6HFdzcZaTz2

Please take a look and suggest improments. There are 12 questions in it. You can answer the survey too. I'll clean it up before the session.

The classroom is on. Closing this ticket. Let's see what feedback we get :)

I've added the survey link to the wiki page. We'll close the survey maybe 24 hours after the class finishes? Does that sound OK @coremodule, @siddharthvipul1 ?

It looks great! Thanks for doing that. Sure, 24 hours after the close of the class sounds like a good time to close the survey.

Yay! We've gotten 27 responses already. I'll close the survey tomorrow and send out a report to everyone!
