#3 Improving https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Join_SIG
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 8 years ago by mailga.

I submitted a talk for Flock, I planned to talk about this SIG, so at least we should have a clear and update join page in the wiki, where new users can be directed.

Do we have to rewrite that page, or an update is enough?

I think the page captures the essence of the SIG decently enough. One change that needs to be made, now that we have an FAS group:

  • members: this needs to be changed to something on the lines of "Membership is maintained via the fedora-join FAS group. If you're a fedora contributor looking to help newbies come on board, please apply in FAS and introduce yourself on the mailing list."

I can e-mail the folks that already have their names there and ask them to do this already. I wonder if there's a way to query the FAS group for membership lists - we can use that to make an image or something for things like blog posts?

Cheers,
Ankur

I replaced the list of people on the wiki page with a link to the FAS group. We need to add a section on "membership requirements" there as soon as we figure out ticket #5.

This feels obsolete. There's another ticket about improving the wiki too, so closing this.
