#267 Should we add all new-comers to the `fedora-join` pagure group so they get notifications from each other and more new-comers?

As the title says---the idea is that newcomers will get notified of each other's comments/tickets and can then potentially help each other?

This is based on my outreachy experience where lots of candidates were in the same situation, had same issues, and so they understood each other and were very very happy to help each other out. So i think it'll be beneficial here also.

Thoughts?

The action item would be:

  • also add newcomers to the fedora-join pagure group when creating their welcome-to-fedora ticket

This will work more like a discussion place. Like the mailing list should be, but preserving the ticket workflow.
+1 from me

No -1s here yet. Folks please vote in the next few days :)

I'll process this 3 days time so that we've had a week to vote: on 2022-04-30

I like to ideas of newcomers interacting with newcomers, sharing their experiences and solving each others problems. As long as we monitor the mails to see if there are no confusions caused (less than 1% chance tbh), this is a great idea.

Here's an +1.

It makes sense to me; and I think it supports growing a sense of the fedora-communityness.

Here's another +1.

That's +5, 0, -0, so we'll go ahead with this. I'll update the workflow docs. Thanks all
