Hey folks,
I have seen and recognised that wiki page of Fedora Classroom are outdated.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Classroom https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Classroom/Release_schedule
Are there any plans to update them? If nobody is working currently on it, I'd be happy to work on it and to re-activate Fedora Classroom. Another aspect would be to start periodically Fedora Classroom talks and have a shedule.
What do you think about my plans and ideas?
Cheers
Andi
Hey great idea and I am excited if we can get things back in track and make it a regular thing. In past the challenge we have seen is not on the side of volunteers for arranging logistics but lack of people willing to take a class or on a certain topic. See [0] and you will notice 14 tickets with classroom tag and a bunch of ideas.. finding people who are ready to take the class makes it more challenging. Infrastructure team talks about things setup in Fedora in a section of weekly meeting, one idea we have is to ask them to do it via Fedora classroom. We can also come up with ideas to what we want to know.

Hey, just checked out the topics and ideas for classroom. I know this will be a big challenge to find people and motivate them to talk about a topic. But hey, I guess it's time starting again to put effort on it.
Yes, maybe we can attend the Feodra Infrastructure team within the next meeting or open and link a ticket here to discuss and work together.
@andilinux
the JOIN team wiki page is out of date and will remain out of date the new site is https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-join/classroom/classroom/
I will forward the wiki to the new docs...
if you would like to make an adjustment please make a PR against https://pagure.io/fedora-join/fedora-join-docs and the TEAM will check that...
Regards.,
@siddharthvipul1 @andilinux
I went through the topics open for the classroom, I am interested in few topics to host a class.
Is there a way we can host a class on integrating other opensource projects with a fedora and make fedora more open?

What is your idea about integrating other opensource projects with Fedora?
@andilinux (and everyone else): would a quick meeting to discuss this help speed things up?
@vipul0 : sorry, I don't quite understand your statement about "integrating with other opensource projects" either. Can you please open a new ticket about that and provide some concrete examples of what you mean? It's not well defined enough to plan a classroom for IMO.
+1 to this. Anyway, it has been a long while since the last time we have had a "Join SIG" meet...

@andilinux sorry, the meeting didn't happen (but will hopefully happen in jan---on my todo list now).
In the meantime, anything here that can be done that does not require a meeting?
See #277
