What do folks think of holding regular Fedora Join AMA sessions? Perhaps a session each month but in each of our different time zones? So for example, one per month in the US time zone, one in EMEA, one in APAC, one in LATAM? (did I miss a region?)

In fact, if these locations host regular meetings, we could even request that a meeting be used for this, to allow newcomers to meet current community members in their regions.

Thoughts?

+1, not you're including all-region...

APAC - Asia Pacific region.
EMEA - Europe, the Middle East, and Africa region.
NA - North America region.
LATAM - Latin America region.

In fact, if these locations host regular meetings, we could even request that a meeting be used for this, to allow newcomers to meet current community members in their regions.

Thoughts?

nice idea, have we got members in all regions in JOIN TEAM? or Are you referring to any members?

Regards.,

I have been following #219 for a while and I do believe that regular meetups can help. We can include both, member of the Join team and other members/newcomers as well into the discussion pertaining to the steps Join SIG should take as I believe that a newcomer's perspective would help us empathize and act accordingly.

But should we split the meets across multiple timezones or try including them all in the togetherness of one timezone-agnostic meet? I am inclined to latter but I would like to hear your thoughts as to why having separate meets can be a better idea. Thanks @ankursinha for opening up this ticket and, @alciregi and @hhlp for the discussions :)

But you are thinking to a Join SIG members meet?
We can also retry that. But I would focus on a newcomers meetup.
Or an office our: hey, every week or every two weeks we are here.
Even if, I think, that we are always here to answer questions, at every hour of the day :-)
