#185 Question: is it OK to subscribe everyone with a new ticket on Welcome-To-Fedora to the Fedora-Join mailing list
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by ankursinha. Opened 4 years ago by ankursinha.

Can we do this? Otherwise e-mailing them all is very hard.

So, when a new ticket is created, we also subscribe them to the mailing list. They can opt-out later if they want, but at least this way, we can e-mail them all with information in one place?

This then lets us think about what information we can provide them with to help them get started with work etc?

Thoughts?

+1

And maybe start to use the mailing list a bit more actively.
Also to "publicize" what happens in the community, like upcoming test days, help needed, easy tasks, etc.

Definitely a good idea. +1

Great. I'll go add them all to the list now.

I will modify the SOP pages (docs and README) in order to add this task. Ok?

Yes, please. Could you also add a tag "S: Subscribed" so we know it has been done for each ticket?

OK, done. @alishapapun , I've also added you as a moderator for the list so you can approve/reject posts and all that.

Ok.
I added the new step to README and docs. What do you think?

I also added the new tag.

Looks good, thanks!

I think all tasks here are completed. Good to close this ticket?
