#9698 Increase VM size
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by mobrien. Opened 3 years ago by dzickus.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Hi,

10 months ago, fedora-infra created a VM for me, https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/8876

Specs:
This VM is set up now. It has the following specs

RAM: 2GB
VCpu: 2
Disk: 10GB
IP: 3.83.21.226
OS: Fedora Cloud 32.1.6

I would like to increase the disk size to from 10GB to 20GB. Is that possible? Happy to stop the VM to allow for the change.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

2021/03/04 (roughly)

We clean up space but after a week the disk is full again.

The disk is now grown to 20GB.

Just to confirm the IP is 3.232.133.56 as mentioned in the ticket linked. I think a new one was setup due to some issue with ssh keys

You will need to extend the filesystem on the server to make use of the new space. Its relatively straightforward just follow this guide https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/recognize-expanded-volume-linux.html?icmpid=docs_ec2_console
