#9550 Document that SSO doesn’t work on admin.fedoraproject.org
Closed: Upstream 3 years ago by kevin. Opened 3 years ago by demiobenour.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Document that SSO doesn’t work on admin.fedoraproject.org

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

Sooner is better, but there is no particular due data

Sorry, not possible. The account system is the source of truth, we need people to login to it with their password there. SAML, OIDC, Kerberos are all via ipsilon which uses the account system.

There's no way to do this. Sorry.

That’s understandable! Could this be documented somewhere so users aren’t surprised?

Also, thanks for your extremely fast response, both to this issue and to #9549.

Reopening as a documentation issue.

Where would you expect this to be documented?

IMHO, if we might be able to put a note on the login page for noggin going forward.

https://admin.stg.fedoraproject.org/accounts/

Either way, i think we can close this one off here, and move the discussion over to noggin.

Sure, we could, but how would that even look? "sign in with your password because this the source of truth?"
I am not sure how to explain it thats not confusing.

Sure, please re-file on noggin and we can discuss it there!
