#9492 Bodhi, udpdate stuck on gating, Failed to talk to Greenwave.
Closed: Upstream 5 years ago by zlopez. Opened 5 years ago by vcrhonek.

hwdata updates submitted three weeks ago are still in testing and don't go to stable even with high karma, see:
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-4156df4c29
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-e142b30964
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-37b8d6db3d

Automated test tab shows "Failed to talk to Greenwave.", I guess that's the problem.

I found same/similar issue:

https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-37b8d6db3d

The error messages from greenwave are:

"Cannot find any applicable policies for koji_build subjects at gating point bodhi_update_push_stable in fedora-32"
"Cannot find any applicable policies for koji_build subjects at gating point bodhi_update_push_stable in fedora-33"
"Cannot find any applicable policies for koji_build subjects at gating point bodhi_update_push_stable in fedora-34"

I wonder if the issue is not related to the fact that your gating.yaml does not specify any criteria for bodhi_update_push_stable: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/hwdata/blob/master/f/gating.yaml

Could set some (even an empty one) and see if that helps?
If it does, then it is likely a greenwave bug that should be reported upstream: https://pagure.io/greenwave/

Oh, it's probably this bug: https://pagure.io/greenwave/issue/603

It looks very much like it, good catch! :)

Thank you for quick look! It means that we can close this issue and I'll follow the greenwave one, right? Anything I can do to have the updates pushed to stable? I do regular updates of hwdata at the beginning of each month -> these three could be soon obsolete:)

Sounds good to me :)

Anything I can do to have the updates pushed to stable?

You can waive the updates via: bodhi updates waive it should unblock them
