#9305 very few drpms available for Fedora 32?
Closed: Duplicate 3 years ago by kevin. Opened 3 years ago by jbotz.

Describe what you would like us to do:

I've noticed recentl that 'dnf upgrade' doesn't seem to say anything about building rpms from drpms and that my download sizes seem to correspond to full .rpm downloads. Looking at:

https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/updates/32/Everything/x86_64/drpms/

...shows only a few dozen .drpm files. Shouldn't there be lots there?

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

Yes, this has been the case for the last... 3 years or so?

See https://pagure.io/releng/issue/7215

I suppose you could re-open that one and then see if we could get cycles to address this, or if interested parties could try and come up with a fix?

Basically updates only delta against previous updates. So, this helps a good deal if you are mostly up to date, but less so if you aren't.

I don't seem to have rights to re-open an issue I didn't submit, so someone who can, please reopen https://pagure.io/releng/issue/7215

I think this really needs to be fixed... I mean the full use of drpms can cumulatively save the world petabytes bandidth; surely this translates to millions of dollars of bandwidth and electricity costs, and of course significant associated GHG emissions.
