#8973 unable to add packager to a new project
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by pingou. Opened 3 years ago by nhorman.

Describe what you would like us to do:

I've got a new packager that I'm sponsoring on a new package (rmd). the username of this new packager is avijayan. Hes been sponsored into the packager group by myself on FAS, and I can see that hes in the group. Hes also logged into srcs.fedoraproject.org, to sync the FAS database for his account. However, on srcs.fedoraproject.org, when I attempt to add him as either an admin or a committer to the project, I get an error saying that the user must be added to the packager group, which as noted above, has already been done. Can someone please correct the situation so that I can add him as a co-maintainer to this project?

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

If you check https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/avijayan you can see that they are not in the packager group. So ask them to log out and log back in again :)

I get that, but hes logged out and back in again more than once, and theres been no update there, even though hes listed as part of the group in FAS. I'll ask him to do so again though.

something similar happen to me, I think this is caused by Fedora datacenter migration, after a week it started working.

We have not yet started migration of any pagure or related things.

It may be worth trying in a private-mode on a browser to start clear of any potential cookie.

Looking at https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/avijayan/groups it seems to be solved now.

@nhorman could you maybe tell us what made it work?

I'm closing this ticket as Fixed though since the issue seems fixed.
