Could we verify the version of Koji that is currently deployed? (It's not showing on the web UI). There's a fix for parsing mock output that should prevent errors in build.log from being misattributed to root.log, but either that fix is not rolled out yet, or the issue is in mock itself.

We are on 1.20.1 currently.
The current plan is to stay on that version until we migrate to the new datacenter, the week of 2020-06-08. At that time we will be up to 1.21.0 / newer mock / f32 builders.
Ah, that explains the errors then. Thanks! Yeah, doesn't make sense to update so close to the servers being decommed anyway.
