#8838 Request wiki edit rights
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by nb. Opened 4 years ago by rolandh.

I wanted to participate in the kernel test week and tried to follow the instructions on https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2020-04-13_Kernel_5.6_Test_Week. A prerequisite for running the tests (make) is not mentioned on
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_kernel_regression so I would like to add that to the wiki page.

Hi! When you open the wiki page, does it show you as logged in? I'm asking because many Fedora systems (like the wiki) have their own login sessions where you have to log in individually (using FAS single sign-on).

No, after attempting to login using the Login button I see the following:

You must have cookies enabled and a Fedora Account System (FAS) account to log in to Fedora Project Wiki.

Additionally, due to spam edits, as of 2016-08 your account must have at least one non cla* group to be able to login and edit.

See Join for information on groups to join and contribute to.

You need to have at least CLA+1 (group)

This message keeps reappearing after pressing the "Log in with PluggableAuth" button. Cookies are enabled.

While browsing https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/ I found the group https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/group/view/wikiedit:

If you are not in one non cla group you cannot edit the wiki, this group is for people who need to edit the wiki, but aren't involved in any other places that give them a group. Please file a ticket at https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issues to request access

Hence the reason for raising this ticket.
