#8808 src.fp.org apparently didn't sync group credentials
Closed: Fixed 2 months ago by sergiodj. Opened 2 months ago by sergiodj.

Describe what you would like us to do:

The user @kevinb was added to the packager group recently (see https://pagure.io/packager-sponsors/issue/414), but I still cannot add him as admin of the Fedora GDB package on src.fp.org. When I try to do that, I get a message saying:

This user must be in one of the following groups to be allowed to be added to this project: packager

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

FWIW, @kevinb did log out and back in, to no avail. Also, he confirmed that he's a member of the packager group on his FAS account.

Regarding my account roles, when I look at my account info at https://admin.fedoraproject.org/, I see that my roles are:

Signed CLA Group (user)
Signers of the Fedora Project Contributor Agreement (user)
Group for granting Bugzilla editing privileges (user)
Fedora Packager GIT Commit Group (user)

Are you sure you logged out and back on to src.fedoraproject.org? pagure.io and src.fedoraproject.org are completely different instances. :)

I had (previously) logged out and back into admin.fedoraproject.org.

I wasn't logged into src.fedoraproject.org, but have done so now. From there, I see that I'm a member of the "packagers" group.

Sergio, please check to see if you can add me now...

Alright, it worked now, so I'm closing this bug. Thanks!
