#8791 Unclear how to admin old fedorahosted.org mailing list
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by kevin. Opened 4 years ago by ref.

Describe what you would like us to do:

Back in 2012 I started a mailing list hosted on fedorahosted.org. Present-day list information:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/copyleft-next.lists.fedorahosted.org/
This is an inactive list but is still occasionally posted to, and received several postings earlier this year.

I occasionally get mailman list admin email to one of my email accounts, but I can't access the links given in those messages, for example:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/copyleft-next.lists.fedorahosted.org/held_messages
If I attempt to access this page, I get a 403.

In the hyperkitty interface, there is a "Manage this list" link at the top of the page; however this just links to
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/copyleft-next.lists.fedorahosted.org/
(I am logged in using the same address as the address at which I receive list admin-related email). There is nothing else displayed that seems to indicate a way to access anything equivalent to the mailman interface for tending to list moderation and subscription requests. I've been unable to determine anything about this problem through general or Fedora-specific search.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

At your convenience.

Yes, go to:

https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/copyleft-next.lists.fedorahosted.org/held_messages

It should bring up a sign in page.

Click on the fedora icon in the top left.

Enter your fedora username/password if you are asked.

You should now be able to moderate the list. The current list owner is 'ref@fedoraproject.org' so you have to be logged in via fedora or have connected your fedoraproject.org address to whatever one you login as uses.

alternately:

Once you are logged in (as any user) you should be able to go to the top right and select your username, then 'Account' then you can use 'account connections' and/or 'email-addresses' to link other logins or email addresses to the one account. So, for example if you login via github, you can then connect your fedora account to the same login.

If none of that works, let us know what account you are logged in with and we can add it as a list owner and you can just admin things from that address/login.

Hope that helps!
