#8681 How to request branch for modules ?
Closed: Fixed by mohanboddu. Opened by remi.

Hi, I was planing to start building php extensions for EPEL-8

So, I need to create a new module and I don't find documentation on how to request new git repository and branch for existing packages

For now, I need

  • modules/php-extras repository with 2 branches

    • epel-8-php-7.2
    • epel-8-php-7.3
  • for rpms/php-extras, 2 new branches

    • epel-8-php-7.2
    • epel-8-php-7.3

Will see if https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/22410 to 22415 are enough

Can you please set me admin on the "php-extras" package so I can ask for new branch.

(AFAIK, current admin is no more active on Fedora)

Notice: the "php-extras" package is orphaned, but this is a migration issue from pkgdb to pagure, where EPEL specific right were lost.

@buc could you help with this? Since you have admin rights on the project you should be able to either do the request or grant admin rights to @remi.

Thanks!

@buc thanks

To request a module repo, use fedpkg request-repo --namespace modules ... and to request a branch in module repo use fedpkg request-branch --namespace modules ...
