#8507 candidate-registry.fedoraproject.org seems to be down
Closed: Fixed 3 years ago by kevin. Opened 4 years ago by lbalhar.

Hello.

It seems that the candidate-registry is down. The main page is blank and namespaces like /f32/ returns 404.

Could anybody please take a look at that?

Thank you, Lumír

So, a few things:

  • The registry itself is working, it's just the web interface that is not.

  • I am not sure we ever had a web interface on this registry?

  • The vm is trying to mount the non cadidate registry (and failing) so that needs cleaning up in ansible...

The registry content can be accessed using the registry api (https://candidate-registry.fedoraproject.org/v2/_catalog?n=200)

So, a few things:

The registry itself is working, it's just the web interface that is not.

I am not sure we ever had a web interface on this registry?

Yes I don't think we ever had one, and I am not sure we need one. Maybe we could redirect https://candidate-registry.fedoraproject.org to https://candidate-registry.fedoraproject.org/v2/_catalog.

The vm is trying to mount the non cadidate registry (and failing) so that needs cleaning up in ansible...

I am kinda sure that the web interface worked. I have many URLs like https://candidate-registry.fedoraproject.org/f32/s2i-core in my browser history.

It'd be nice to have it because it provides handy functionalities. But yes, if I am the only one user, it makes sense to redirect it to the JSON catalog.

I setup the redirect. It's rolling out now.
