I would like to ask for a new project on Hosted Projects.
Project name: logrotate
Project short summary:
The logrotate utility is designed to simplify the administration of log files on a system which generates a lot of log files. Logrotate allows for the automatic rotation compression, removal and mailing of log files.
SCM choice: SVN
SCM repo-name: logrotate
Project admin Fedora Account System account name: tsmetana
This is an upstream project or a branch of it?
This is an upstream project -- Red Hat is upstream for logrotate AFAIK. The CVS used to reside on elvis, but since it's been shut down I thought this was the right place to move the sources to.
Is Elvis completely shut down now? I thought just the translatable projects have been moved off, but nothing else is forced to. Anaconda still uses it as the source for it's bits.
Now, I don't mind creating a project space, but I'm curious, are there any consumers of this outside of Fedora? Is there a real need for another wiki and ticketing space for this outside of Fedora? Would just an svn repo to check code in suffice?
You're right and I was mystified... Elvis lives. This removes the main reason why I have asked for hosting the project.
