#8409 [Request] Access to openshift cluster-admin on staging
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by smooge. Opened 4 years ago by scoady.

Hi, to test some of the new images I need to create a project on os.stg. Could somebody either add me to the group to create projects or create a project for me and make me admin please?

Thanks,
Stephen

We don't manually create projects like that.

Instead ansible does the project creation and setup... take a look at one of the other apps we have in staging and ansible/playbooks/openshift-apps and roles/openshift-apps/

So, you just need to setup things in ansible, then we need to add a acl so you can run the playbook (which we need to know the name of).

If you can do your testing in another place,, communishift can allow you to create projects and test things?

Feel free to reopen if you need more info or would like us to do anything further (add you to communishift, add a acl for a new staging openshift app playbook, etc)

Thanks for that Kevin, I understand. Communishift would be useful - would you be able to add me to that instead for future use also? Thanks.

Looks like I cannot connect to the communishift cluster so I won't be able to help :disappointed: .

Somewhat piggybacking my own ticket here but I think it is related. So basically the scenario I need now is to be able to run

sudo rbac-playbook -l staging openshift-apps/bodhi.yml on batcave01 to update bodhi on staging. I get a permissions error so I am probably not in the correct group - or I am running the incorrect command. Could you let me know which please @kevin ?

I've added you to communishift. Sorry for the delay.

On the rbac-playbook, we need to add you to sysadmin-bodhi in production. I'm happy with that... would like to get acks from @cverna and @abompard tho...
