#8316 Should we use the shared Fedora infrastructure RabbitMQ for Celery applications?
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by kevin. Opened 4 years ago by mprahl.

Over the next couple of months, the Module Build Service (MBS) is being refactored to use Celery for distributing tasks to multiple workers. When it comes to deploying the refactored MBS, should we deploy our own private RabbitMQ instance, or use a virtual host on the shared Fedora infrastructure RabbitMQ?

I'm fine with either approach, but would like advice from the Fedora Infrastructure team as which approach is preferred.

Thank you for your help.

Yes, we said a while back that we can use the existing rabbitmq cluster for other applications.

So, a virtual host on the shared one would be preferred. We should have ansible roles that already let you set this up. :)

Let us know if you have any questions on it...
