#8280 Creating side-tags in koji from fedpkg violate policy
Closed: Fixed a month ago by pingou. Opened a month ago by pingou.

I've been trying to create a side tag in koji via fedpkg, since we upgraded koji to 1.18 with the koji-sidetag-plugin in production and staging but it seems to fail for both environment:

$ fedpkg request-side-tag --base-tag f30
Could not execute request_side_tag: policy violation (sidetag)
$ fedpkg request-side-tag --base-tag f31
Could not execute request_side_tag: policy violation (sidetag)

$ fedpkg-stage request-side-tag --base-tag f31
Could not execute request_side_tag: policy violation (sidetag)
$ fedpkg-stage request-side-tag --base-tag f30
Could not execute request_side_tag: policy violation (sidetag)

Are we missing something?

Yes, sidetag policy is missing. I can add it.

Actually sidetag policy is present.

@pingou Can you try with base tag f30-build (etc.) instead of f30?

@pingou Can you try with base tag f30-build (etc.) instead of f30?

That works better, thanks! :)

Ok, let's close this as fixed then (we'll need to document this somewhere however)
