  We're got a discourse instance set up to replace askbot as Ask Fedora (currently invite only without a public login). Since we're still setting it up, we need a temporary domain name to start the subscription. (Once it's ready, askbot will be disabled and ask.fp.o will need to be updated to point to the new discourse instance). So could we please have askbeta.fedoraproject.org set up to point to this new discourse instance temporarily?

This is what the discourse settings page says:

"To start your subscription, your site must be on a domain name that you own and control.

If you don't already own a domain, you can purchase one from a domain registry like Namecheap.

To move from trydiscourse.com to your own domain, you'll need to access the DNS controls for your domain. It's usually accessible from the same place you purchased the domain name from.
Choose a subdomain where your Discourse forums will be found. For example, if you own example.com then you could choose discourse.example.com for your community.
Add a DNS CNAME record that points the address to this location:

askfedora.hosted-by-discourse.com

CNAME discourse.example.com askfedora.hosted-by-discourse.com Auto TTL

(Note that the site will not load by visiting askfedora.hosted-by-discourse.com in a browser.)

After you've completed setting up your domain, use the "Change Domain Name" button on your admin dashboard to submit the new domain.

Shortly after, it will become your site's primary address.

  ASAP please. @bex needs to set the subscription up in the next few days, and the domain name is needed to do this.

  We won't be able to get the annual subscription charged soon enough
