#7347 Upgrade production Bodhi backend servers to Fedora 29
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by bowlofeggs.

  • Describe what you need us to do:
Staging Bodhi has been upgraded to Fedora 29, and I took some time today to do some testing and found no issues, so it is time to upgrade production too. I am able to upgrade the frontend myself, but I need help upgrading the two backend servers, bodhi-backend01.phx2.fedoraproject.org and backend02.phx2.fedoraproject.org.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
The backends are deployed on Fedora 27, which goes end of life on 2018-11-30. I would like to do this much sooner than that though, as I am holding up making the next Bodhi release until this is done to preserve my testing efforts on Fedora 29.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    If we stop using Bodhi.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
Bodhi will be running on an unsupported operating system.

Note that we will need to coordinate with release engineering when we do this, as it cannot be done when composes are running.
