#7261 [RFR] OpenShift instance for managing translations of Fedora Modules
Closed: Fixed 4 years ago by kevin. Opened 5 years ago by sgallagh.

  • Describe what you need us to do:
I need access to set up and maintain a tool for extracting translatable strings from Fedora Modules in Koji, transforming them into standard portable object templates (POT files), pushing them up to Zanata and then also pulling down completed translations and hosting them for pungi to consume during Modular repo creation.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
Needed for Fedora 30, but the sooner the better.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
If we ever abandon Modularity or translations, this can go away.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
I will have to either host this somewhere outside of Fedora or we won't be able to translate module summaries and descriptions.

Sorry this languished.

Can we instead set you up with a communishift account and you can build your app/tool there and once it's all done and stable if you wish to hand it off to be supported by us we can look at it then?

@kevin Yeah, that seems like a reasonable plan. Should I request access to the communishift group in FAS?

I've added you there and you should be able to login/create projects.

Let us know if you run into any problems...
