I need a new repository to start working on Fedora's version of PDC. I have failed in finding a name for it yet so I leave it to this issue assignee to name the repo
here are a few candidate: FDC (Fedora Definition Center) PDC-lite PDC2 fedora-pdc ....
The repo name : ?? description : Fedora Product Definition Center Add initial readme : Yes Add a licence : GNU General Public License v3.0
When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
Should we just take over the existing project and trim out the bits we don't need? If we did that, we could just keep the name and the current repo (assuming the current maintainers are willing to hand the keys over).
(or is the existing project too difficult to maintain in the long term to the point where it's less work to make a new one?)
Yes the existing one has a lot of things that are RHEL related that we don't really want. But the plan is to try to reuse as much of the django applications from PDC.
Also having 2 differents project will make it easier to have both application deployed at the same time which I think will be the case for a little while.
Naming is hard. I just did fdc.
