#7237 I cannot log in to staging Bodhi due to my email address not being handed back to Bodhi
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by bowlofeggs.

  • Describe what you need us to do:
When I try to log in to staging Bodhi, I get a 500 error due to my e-mail address not being handed back to Bodhi during the OpenID login event.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
If we stop using Bodhi or log in in Fedora.

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
I am unable to test the new Bodhi 3.10.0 beta.

I just saw some IRC about this:

<nirik> bowlofeggs: you think https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/7237 is openshift related? nothing should have changed auth wise... odd.
<nirik> it logged me in fine... I did have to enter username/pass in ipsilon...
<puiterwijk> bowlofeggs: that would've been another case of using a krb5 ticket with flakey FAS

I kdestroy'd my krb ticket and used the http log in form, and that worked.

Do we want to keep this ticket open to track the krb5 ticket/FAS issue, or is that already tracked somewhere else?

It's likely you don't need to destroy your ticket, just wait and retry.

The problem here is that fas is being flaky and so when ipsilon asks it for info it doesn't return it all... or just nothing.

The fix here I suppose is to replace fas, or I guess we could try and throw some more resources at it in staging and see if that helps?

@kevin I'm happy to just say "this will be fixed when we replace FAS." Shall we close this?

Sure!
