#7170 Upgrade or terminate modularity cloud instances
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by mizdebsk.

The following cloud instances were requested for modularity:

  • modularity.fedorainfracloud.org: Fedora 24, last login: 14 Nov 2017
  • modularity2.fedorainfracloud.org: Fedora 26, last login: 15 Sep 2017

These instances are running old EOL versions of Fedora and it seems they are not used any longer. @langdon, can these machines be decommissioned, or do you still need them?

Here's what I found:

  • modularity2 doesn't have any running services so is good to be decommissioned.
  • modularity doesn't let me login with my public key (but it did in the past), can you check that, @langdon?

Ok, I pulled a backup, none of the services appear to be in use (even though running). Please feel free to decommission both machines. I did send one final note so giving it til EOD Sept 6 would be nice.

Ok, I will terminate both instances some time after Sep 6.

For now removed DNS records, removed Ansible configuration, removed public IP addresses and blocked all trafic incoming to these instances. I'll keep them running for a few more days in case it turns out that something from them is still needed.

Both instances have been terminated.
