I'm reading a bit of the wiki and I'd like to fix typos.
For some confusing reason, I cannot. I think I will be able to do so if I'm added to this group.

Yes, you need to be in at least one non cla_* group.

Are you planning on working with any other groups soon? qa? ambassadors? etc?

If so, you can just join there and likely get added to a new group. :)
If not, let us know and we can add you to wikiedit...

My contributions are upstream and through bugzilla. I haven't needed to be in any group that still exists in the 10 years I've had a fedoraproject account.

Whenever I see typos in a wiki, I like to fix them. I found typos in
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Networking/Addressing
For example, "assinged". By now I've forgotten the others but I will look again if I am allowed to fix them.
