#6722 Please create crypto-team group in Fedora src Pagure
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by tmraz.

We would like to share maintenance of some of the packages currently owned by members of crypto team in Red Hat among the members of the team. To easily manage the commit rights among the team members we need to assign all of the members to a group and have this group added as committers to the packages.

Can you please create the 'crypto-team' group?

Done.

I have:

  • Created the crypto-team fas group with you as owner.
  • Created a private mailing list called crypto-team@lists.fedoraproject.org
  • Created the group in src.fedoraproject.org

You will need to:
* Set moderation on all posts on the list at https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/crypto-team.lists.fedoraproject.org/settings/message_acceptance and then make a bugzilla account called 'crypto-team@lists.fedoraproject.org' the activation email should go to moderation and you can finish creating it.

You can then add the account to admin for any packages you like and when you add users to the fas group they should have commits and watch, etc.

Let us know if you run into any problems with it.

Thank you, everything looks fine for now.

Two questions:

Although I assigned multiple people to the group in n FAS they did not appear in pagure yet except for Nikos and me. What is the trigger to have the members synced?

Is it possible to make the group to be the main admin of a package in Pagure? Or alternatively to make the group to be a primary contact for the package in Bugzilla.

Groups are synced upon login, so these team members will have to log out and log into pagure again to sync their membership.

You can make the mailing list be the default point of contact in bugzilla via: https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests
