I think this ticket is about testing openshift itself, correct?
Just FYI - I set up nagios tests for the waiverdb and greenwave http applications in nagios. This checks to see if the apps are being served correctly by openshift on a certain level.
https://github.com/abutcher/openshift-enterprise-nagios-configs may have some things we could use here.
