#6435 Create an OpenStack SIG in FAS
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by hguemar.

Following the announcement of the new OpenStack SIG, I'd like to request the creation of a new FAS group.
Much like the Python SIG, we'd like to reassign packages ownership to the SIG to enable their co-maintainance. Another topic is to allow us to have shared copr so we can experiment things.

Initial sponsors should be: apevec, hguemar

Sorry for the delay here.

I have:

  • created the openstack-sig fas group with you as owner, add whoever you like.
  • created a private openstack-sig list (this needs to be private because it will get copied on all the bugzilla bugs it's assigned to)
  • Setup the group in src.fedoraproject.org.

Next you need to:

  • create a openstack-sig@lists.fedoraproject.org account in bugzilla (the account verify will go to the list, but should be moderated so you can see it as list owner).
  • assign any packages you like to openstack-sig as owner.

Please let us know if you need anything further or this doesn't work correctly for some reason.

@hguemar was the bugzilla account created for the mailing list?
I'm seeing in the sync script the following error:

The name openstack-sig@lists.fedoraproject.org is not a valid username. Either you
misspelled it, or the person has not registered for a Red Hat Bugzilla account.'
