#6293 Can't add a new packager as co-maintainer of package tpm2-tools
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by yunyings.

I'm trying to add javierm(Javier Martinez Canillas javierm@redhat.com) as a co-maintainer of package tpm2-tools. But always get error:
"This user must be in one of the following groups to be allowed to be added to this project: packager"

But javierm has been added to packager's group about 22 hours ago.

Add javierm with access level "ticket" works fine. But updating his access level to "commit" shows same error as above.

I'm doing it at: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/tpm2-tools/adduser

Is this an infrastructure issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Could you ask Javier Martinez Canillas to log out of https://src.fedoraproject.org/ and log in again?

Groups are synced from FAS upon login, so a new packager will have to log out and log in again for the new membership to be registered.

@pingou I just did.

BTW, even before doing a log out I could see "packager" in the list of "Groups" in https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/javierm

I just upgraded your ACL to commit and then downgraded it to ticket, it worked fine for me both time.

@yunyings could you try again to see if the error persists for you?

@pingou great, let's see what @yunyings says.

Thanks a lot for your help.

It works now. Thanks for the quick help @pingou .

Cool, sorry it didn't before :(
