#627 Request: A FEL mailing list
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by chitlesh.

Hello there,

Since the last few months, we are recruiting new contributors for Fedora Electronic Lab. The need for a mailing list has become a necessity.

However, we are not in the same timezone and it is difficult for me to breakdown different tasks and assigning these tasks to these new contributors (also I'm teaching them the Fedora way and rpm packaging). I hope to have also the archives of the mailing list so that for other new contributors I can point them to the respective url if needed.

This Mailing list will also serve as a common ground to gather upstream developers (for FEL), in the long run. Thus with upstream developers, we can work together to ensure more interoperability with different applications and ultimately ensuring different design flows with at least the well known hardware description languages (such as VHDL and Verilog)

The electronic world is quite vast, and not everyone is a specialist in all areas. I'm a micro-nano-electronics guy, thus for now we have only applications for microelectronics in FEL. Our new recruits are embedded specialists. Thus we need to discuss and decide a roadmap for applications which will be included into FEL.

Thus I'm requested a special mailing list for Fedora Electronic Lab which might have the following URL:
https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-electronic-lab-list

I hope I was able to explain the reason, for this mailing list.
