#6264 RFR - Please expand resources for OSBS machines in staging to handle new OpenShift Requirements
Closed: Fixed Opened by maxamillion.

The newly released version of OpenShift (3.6.0) accompanied by the release-3.6 branch of openshift-ansbile now requires more resources than before. The minimum system resources are now verified by checks in openshift-ansible and the cluster will fail to deploy if they are not met.

I would like to request that all osbs systems in stage be upgraded to have the minimum 16GB of RAM available to them. These systems are:

  • osbs-master01.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org
  • osbs-node01.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org
  • osbs-node02.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org
  • osbsworker-x86-64-master01.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org
  • osbsworker-x86-64-node01.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org
  • osbsworker-x86-64-node02.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org

I would also like to request that the master machines be bumped to have a 50G root partition. These machines are:

  • osbs-master01.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org
  • osbsworker-x86-64-master01.stg.phx2.fedoraproject.org

It looks like the virthosts they are on can handle that (barely).

The easiest way is to blow them all away, change ansible and reinstall...

is that acceptable, or do you need to preserve the existing hosts and grow them manually?

@kevin - we can 100% destroy these and reprovision, that would be great! Thank you.

Let me know when you want them gone and I will do so for you.

You should be able to adjust ansible for the new memory/disk...

Go ahead and destroy them whenever it's convenient for you, thanks again!

Done.
