Hi,

I'm asking this on behalf of one of participants in the sssd-users list who, by accident, posted some confidential information (hostnames etc) to a post on sssd-users. They contacted me, asking if the post could be taken down.

I do realize that everyone subscribed to the list has their copy of the message and I know there are things like archive.org etc and in general the Internet does not forget. But for the sake of giving an authoritative answer to the user, is there a way to remove a message from the archive?

We normally do not remove posts for all the reasons you list, but we can remove them from our archives in cases of legal or confidential info. if you send me the message link I can remove it from the archives (either here or in a private email).
