#6096 Piwik is slow at times
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by puiterwijk.

We should look at optimizing Piwik or moving it to hardware.
Right now, it needs a reload of httpd every now and then because PHP leaks memory (I think... I haven't fully debugged what's going on yet).

piwik.fedorainfracloud.org is slow again today, requests taking tens of seconds. According to my experience, it's slow every single day. Even if Patrick restarts it, the next day it's broken again. This makes working with wiki pages very unpleasant.

As much as I feel your pain, it will have to wait until after the beta is out as all the items connected to it are frozen.

We are going to work on moving the piwik out of the cloud and onto real hardware this week.

If you mean F26 Beta, I'm totally fine with that ;-)

I'm going to close this, the piwik code has been removed from the websites + wiki , and we'll be powering down the instance soon (we have to wait 5 days because that's what our static caching headers were set to so there's a chance that people could still get it... The 5-day headers thing is being fixed too so we don't have this issue in the future.)
