#5866 Adding non x86_64 slaves in Fedora infra Jenkins set-up
Closed: Fixed 7 years ago Opened 7 years ago by sinnykumari.

Hi,

In Fedora, we support multiple architectures like x86_64, ppc64le, aarch64, etc. Right now, in our Jenkins set-up done at https://jenkins.fedorainfracloud.org/ , all nodes are x86_64 specific. It will be nice to have some non x86_64 slaves too so that project which needs to run their build jobs on non-x86_64 arches can make use of it.
Will it be possible to add non x86_64 Jenkins slaves included in existing Jenkins set-up ? For start, maybe we can use non x86_64 vm from Fedora cloud (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Machine_Resources_For_Package_Maintainers ).

Will be glad to get your input on this.

Thanks

We could add ppc64/ppc64le pretty easily, armv7 with a bit of work... aarch64 would be yet more work.

What releases / arches would be of most use for you?

Thanks Kevin!

Fedora 25 with ppc64le arch will work.

Done.

We can try and add more as the resources come available/need is there.

Thanks Kevin! Definitely, we can add more resources later as per need.
Works perfectly, checked by executing a libabigail build on F25-ppc64le node.
