#583 wiki: install FlaggedRevs extension
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by till.

It would be really nice to have the FlaggedRevs extension, which can mark pages as a good and allow to make changes in a special review version of a page. This would make it a lot easier to do changes to acl restricted pages, e.g. the PackagingGuidelines for people who do not have the required acls, e.g. to fix typos, add categories or propose changes.

The extension is available here:

I was under the opinion the Packaging pages were very restricted for a reason. Either way I don't think it'd be a problem to install this extension, we just need someone to package it and put it up for review first.

It must be also tested before we can use it, because it may not work with the acl system or they may need to be made changes.

At the request of spot, the ACLs on the packaging talk pages have been opened up, there are 5 or so people that can edit the normal Packaging pages so it shouldn't be an immediate priority, but by all means, I can't do it right now, but maybe soon if noone else does.

Ping, has this issue been resolved with the opening of the talk pages, or is somebody still working on getting that extension packaged?

I'm going to go ahead and close this now, since there's been no activity in 3 years. ;)

If someone would like to get this extension packaged, feel free to reopen and we can look at it further.
