Will any of the built-in authorization methods suit our needs?

If not, what would be the recommended way to put auth in front of the registry? We want to protect all writing methods (PUT, POST, DELETE, etc.), but allow all reading methods.
As I said on IRC: the token method should tie in with Ipsilon. I will take this ticket, and look at implementing that.
We no longer need to solve this problem.
