#5712 My mailmain subscriptions are zombies
Closed: Fixed 7 years ago Opened 7 years ago by jflorian.

I think much of this is a result from the major mailmain upgrade awhile back (2-->3 IIRC). Anyway, my employer (dartcontainer.com) has intentionally or inadvertently enabled some M$ Exchange Online Protection (EOP) thingy that does awful mail mangling (body and headers) to redirect all links through outlook.com. Yeah... I cringe at the thought too.

So my solution was to move all of my otherwise-working subscriptions to my home email where things remain in the saner FOSS world. However, despite Postorious telling me my subscriptions are configured to deliver to jflorian@doubledog.org, the continue to be sent to either john.florian@dartcontainer.com or john_florian@dartcontainer.com -- I cannot tell because of the header rewriting. In fact, when I look at the mail source, my mail address is nowhere to be found at all.

Some additional background might be useful. When I first got into Postorious, most of my subscriptions weren't even showing (though I was still getting frequent mailings). Once I added more of my email addresses in Postorious, the other subscriptions showed up, though they were odd --- most of the enabled/disabled settings (e.g., Delivery Status) were neither (no box was checked). I've tried to clean those settings up, unsubscribe, resubscribe, etc. all to no avail.

Lists that I know I'm subscribed to are:

  • announce.lists.stg.fedoraproject.org
  • buildsys.lists.stg.fedoraproject.org
  • devel-announce.lists.stg.fedoraproject.org
  • devel.lists.stg.fedoraproject.org
  • koji-devel.lists.stg.fedorahosted.org
  • python-devel.lists.stg.fedoraproject.org

@abompard Could you please take a look here?

Any news on this? Is there anything I can do or provide to assist?

It looks like the mailman update this morning resolved my issues. At first I was getting 500 Server Errors when attempting to manage my subscriptions, but now all seems to be working perfectly. I can finally change the email address to where they're sent and have mailman actually deliver there.

Thanks!
