There already seems to be a astronomy-sig user that was created and used in pkgdb.

So, do you want to convert this into a pkgdb group? or ?

Did not know about that one… But we want a group, not a single user, yes. According to the packages this user owns it is a relict of an ealier effort of our SIG, so yes: convert

If you don't want to convert: Call the group "astronomy-packaging", thanks :)

@pingou what all do we need to convert this fas user to a pkgdb group? I think we did that before?

@kevin I think we just need to update the group type, but I'm not sure FAS allows to do that in the UI, so we can either:
- hack the DB
- Delete the existing group and create a new one

Well, it's not a goup... it's a user. I don't think we can change a user to a pkgdb group without messing with the db. ;(

I'm fine with a different group name of course :) "astro-sig" or "astronomy-packaging" for example.

ok. I have created 'astro-sig' pkgdb group and (private) mailing list.

Please create a bugzilla account for it and everything should be set.
