Apparently DNS record _kerberos.fedoraproject.org TXT is missing.

It should look like this:

_kerberos.fedoraproject.org TXT "FEDORAPROJECT.ORG"

After adding this, the auto-discovery in krb5.conf should just work. Let me know if you face any problem, I can help with this.

This should be in place.

% host -t txt _kerberos.fedoraproject.org
_kerberos.fedoraproject.org descriptive text "FEDORAPROJECT.ORG"
